Hi, I’m Take — born and raised in Fujinomiya. On this blog, I share practical, local tips so you can enjoy the area like a local.
Introduction
Good morning from Fujinomiya! Today is Friday, February 6, and it is a quintessentially crisp winter day. The sky is a deep, piercing blue with only a few wispy clouds floating by. It’s currently a chilly 5°C (41°F), so if you’re heading out to take photos, make sure you have your warmest jacket and maybe some heat-packs (kairo) in your pockets!
Highlights
• Visibility: 9/10
The air is incredibly dry and clear today. From my vantage point here in the city, the silhouette of the mountain is sharp and majestic. There’s almost no haze, making it a perfect day for photography.
• Snow Conditions:
As you can see in the photo, the snow cap is well-established but has a “textured” look. Instead of a smooth, thick blanket, the wind has revealed the dark volcanic ridges underneath, creating a beautiful contrast. It looks like a classic woodblock print come to life!
