Hi, I’m Take—born and raised in Fujinomiya. I share practical local tips in English for international visitors.
If you try only one sweet in Fujinomiya, make it Ide Boku’s gelato.
My top pick is pumpkin—gentle sweetness + rich milk that turns into a happy bite.
Order a double: pumpkin + the classic milk is a spot-on combo. It’s rich yet clean, so “just one more” spoonful is guaranteed.
What makes it special is the setting: a lawn in front of the shop with outdoor tables, and a cowshed nearby—you can watch the cows while you eat. It’s a simple local moment that kids and adults enjoy alike.
Where to go (local tip)
Ide Boku has two spots in Fujinomiya. For gelato, I recommend the Milk House (main shop) in Kitayama—it’s right by the farm and has the best atmosphere. COW RESORT IDEBOK in Hitoana is a larger complex with a shop, dining and activities. Pick the one that fits your route.
