Mt. Fuji Today February 7, 2026

Today's Mt Fuji

Hi, I’m Take — born and raised in Fujinomiya. On this blog, I share practical, local tips so you can enjoy the area like a local.

Introduction

Happy Saturday, everyone. It is February 7, 2026. Today, Fujinomiya is wrapped in a chilly, grey blanket. The temperature is hovering around 6°C (43°F), and we have a steady drizzle making the roads slick. It’s definitely a day to bundle up in a warm waterproof coat and keep your umbrella handy.

Highlights

• Visibility: 0/10

• Snow Condition: Unknown (Hidden by clouds)

As you can see from the photo I took from the street today, the view is completely overcast. The thick cloud layer has descended low over the city, hiding Mt. Fuji entirely from view. While the power lines and traffic lights stand out against the grey sky, the mountain itself is shy today.

Don’t let the weather get you down, though! Since you can’t see the mountain outside, this is the perfect day to visit the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre. You can learn about the history and see a beautiful mock-up of the mountain indoors, dry and warm.
