Hi, I’m Take — born and raised in Fujinomiya. On this blog, I share practical, local tips so you can enjoy the area like a local.
Introduction
It is a crisp, stunning Sunday here in Fujinomiya. As the sun begins to dip lower in the sky, the mountain has taken on a breathtaking glow. The air is sharp and cold—typical for February—but the sky is remarkably clear, offering one of the best views we’ve had all week.
Highlights
• Visibility: 10/10. You can see every ridge and crater clearly from the city streets.
• Snow Status: The “hat” is looking very full! The snow reaches down significantly, covering the upper slopes in a thick, white blanket.
• The “Beni-Fuji” Effect: In the photo I captured today, you can see the summit turning a warm, rosy gold. When the snow-covered peak reflects the sunrise or sunset like this, we call it Beni-Fuji (Pink Fuji). It’s a winter specialty!
